Watches of Switzerland is a British FTSE 250 retailer of Swiss watches, with stores across the UK, at major UK airports, and since 2018 in the US. The shelves hold Rolex, Patek Philippe and the rest of the top drawer of watchmaking. On the shop floor, staff and clients browse the catalogue on in house 10 inch tablets, and the fleet had grown past 2,000 devices.
Stephanie Bartlett, Retail Operations Administration Manager, brought LapCabby the problem: all of those tablets needed charging, storing and securing, in one place, at a sensible cost.
The challenge: 2,000 tablets in stores full of watches
Security mattered for the obvious reason: these tablets live in rooms where everything else in the cabinet costs five figures. The units also had to keep pace with a growing fleet, charge quickly between uses, and disappear into a luxury retail environment rather than hum away in the corner of it.
